Carrigans po: International Damage being done to An Post's reputation

As can be seen from the links below, this issue is damaging An Post's reputation abroad.  I imagine It could have been handled better than this. Surely someone could have seen where this was going to go . This poor woman traumatised with guns, then sacked as well!

An Post should take note of this and avoid History repeating itself, even though the cause of the conflict may differ it seems to be going in the same direction, with lots of local support for the postmistress.

In todays Irish independent Stephen Maguire reports  Robbed by an armed gang -so An Post gave her the sack "They keep telling me that I did not follow the proper security procedures -- but how can you do that when three armed men try to rob you?" she asked.

Were getting lot's of good wishes for a speedy recovery from a recent operation in Beaumont Hospital for retired Baldoyle Postman Paddy (chucksie) Beauchamp from all his friends and wellwishers from An Post and running. We hope Paddy will be back flying around Howth soon.

So the question we must ask ourselves is do we trust the government and the economists, do we trust An Post management do we trust our Unions?. That’s the dilemma that we will face in the months ahead as they try to hive us off to the bidders.
