With the low pay of many Irish Postal workers and ongoing reductions of overtime earnings alongside high mortgages and job losses by family members many An Post workers are under increasing financial pressures. In discussion with CWU An Post has agreed to include all new employees that work in areas covered by the scheme on satisfactory completion of their probationary period of six months. This will also include FTSP workers. This agreement begins on the first day of January 2009. Well done CWU, something positive to redress the discrepency in the conditions of colleagues who basically do the same job.
