Did we have a solemn agreement about the Esop. Was it binding on all parties? Are the unions who represent the staff in An Post about to do an about turn?

The posturing and bluster from our leaders over the past number of years about the drastic actions they intended taking to attain the shares that were part of the transformation process can now be seen for what they were, an elaborate charade to make it look as though something was being done.

The document on this site from the Minister Mr Ryan about discussions he had with the group of Unions in an Post about the E S O P and the likelyhood that a new agreement may be entered into because of the time frame since the ESOP was first agreed. Where is the legal action that was  threatened what happened to the solemn agreement.

Reading between the lines of the statement from Mr Ryan it does look as though the agreement we had made is going to be jettisoned and a new agreement put in place.
