For too long the Irish people have had to settle for excuses when we seek answers from our government. Not once have we gotten a straight or wholly truthful answer. We ask why it is that the people that are most affected by the recession are punished while those that presided over it, those that perpetrated it, get off with a slap on the wrist.

In this country we do not always speak out when we need to. We have become complacent. The belief held by the general public is that while the government may have "screwed up" there is no better alternative. The public seems to believe that standing up and saying no is the wrong thing to do. Our unions fight back time and again for what they believe they are entitled to but these demonstrations of opposition are few and far between and all too fleeting.

It is time that we the people stood up for ourselves and called out together, united, for a chance to give ourselves the government that we need. The government we deserve.

On September 29th at 14:30 the Dail will once again be in session. At this time I would like to invite all of the people of this great country of ours to come to the streets in front of Leinster House. I call on you to stand up for yourselves and your country and to call for the government to give us the General Election we deserve. The time for excuses is over. The time for change has arrived.

Venue: Leinster House
Time: 14:00 - 17:00
Date: September 29th

This is meant as a peaceful protest. If you wish to discuss the event or to announce you attendance you can do so on facebook using the link supplied
