This is the last of the current weekly Protests outside the Dáil for the moment, as the Dáil finishes this week for their Summer Holidays (well for them!)!

However, the Protests will continue, including a Protest outside Cowen's Banquest Feast with IBEC in IBEC's Office on Wednesday, June 23rd, and a National Demonstration in Dublin on Saturday, June 26th.
Right To Work Protest IV

Location:The Dail
Street:Kildare St
Town/City:Dublin, Ireland

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

May 17 Another march to the Dail this Tuesday The Right to Work Campaign is about highlighting and opposing the priorities of the present government in saving banks and markets at the expense of ordinary workers and their families.  The Right to Work Campaign is about highlighting and opposing the priorities of the present government in saving banks and markets at the expense of ordinary workers and their families.

We have almost 450,000 people unemployed in this Republic of ours at the moment and as many again underemployed, in low paid jobs, on schemes or forced to emigrate.  We've also had massive cuts in public services, in social welfare and widespread pay cuts for both public and private sector workers.

What we want is justice, the right to work, a decent standard of living and not investing billions in banks that simply got themselves into trouble through bad management and downright greed.

The Right to Work Campaign is a Nationwide one but I'm pleased to say that a Cork Section of it (Cork Right to Work Campaign) has just been formed, and they are holding a Public Demonstration on Saturday, May 15th (see details just below).

In the meantime I appeal to anyone who can, to attend the National Protest in Dublin This Tuesday, May 11th at 7.30pm at the Garden of Remberance, Parnell Square to March to the Dáil (see details below the Cork Demonstration information), and even if you can't make it to either Protest, please forward this information onto everyone you know.

Many thanks,

WHY WE ARE MARCHING
EUR33 billion of OUR money has already been put into the banks.
This government is destroying our public services to pay for the bill.
Instead of pouring vast sums into these banks, we should take them into public control and make the wealthy pay for their economic crimes.
We need to change economic policy to help the half a million people who are unemployed.
We should set up a public works programme to provide jobs and build up our public services.
We should resist wage cuts. Wage cuts mean less spending in our economy - and more jobs losses.
ENOUGH IS ENOUGH
Don't just sit at home and get angry. People power is the only way to bring real change. So come out on the streets and make your voice heard. This government needs to receive one big message: GET OUT OF OFFICE.
GET INVOLVED:
The Right to Work Campaign brings together trade unionists, community activists and the unemployed to say: BAIL OUT JOBS AND SERVICES NOT BANKS
We won't let this government divide us between public sector and private sector workers; migrant and non-migrant. We want solidarity - not divide and rule tactics.
After the March to the Dail, we invite you to the Right to Work National Conference on Saturday May 22nd in the UNITE Hall 55-56 Middle Abbey Street, Dublin 1, starting at 12pm.
This is a conference of Resistance and Solidarity and we want to hear your suggestions for how to step up our campaign
