I was happy to hear that some of our colleagues forced the company and the union [ as some bright spark called THEM, the tonto's ] to climb down from their lofty pedestals regarding unfair practises in duty competitions.
I wish we had some of those men with a bit of bottle in our office because in our office there is more unfairness in relation to the man who is losing his midnight duty because the Company is reducing the number on the nights.
The man who lost his duty is number 25 in seniority in an office of 50 men but he was told he can only apply for the duties that temporary men have, everyone knows that they are shit duties but he has no other option, I think this is totally unfair,
I believe the only fair way is to put all the duties that the men from 25 to 50 own for competition and only men from 25 down can apply after all it was the union and the company that put the duties up for competition and the man went for the midnight in good faith, how was he to know they were going to do away with a midnight .
I think everyone should cry FOUL on this one or maybe the union is blind as well as all the other problems it has regarding fairness
