DSM and early exit by postal delivery staff

The story of the D S M and the black sheep who leave before their the designated time of departure is to some hilarious but to me very sad. Reading between the lines it looks to all intents and purposes that the D S M is losing it.

To some people in authority in An Post if they are given an instruction by someone at a higher level than themselves they believe it must be carried out to the letter, and from my experience anybody who questions this behaviour is given the stock answer I’m only doing my job. To be a success at that level cop on is not a requirement.

I have a suggestion which may or may not help to resolve this impasse. All delivery post persons should be tagged electronically so that anyone who leaves before the appointed time would receive an electric shock. This would stop the main offenders and would also be a warning to any who were thinking of following in the hoof prints of the black sheep.

Those who continue to offend could have extra voltage inserted. This would leave the D S M free to do the work he should be doing.

With the increased voltage some might be left with their hair straight which could lead to more complaints from customers who are terrified by the state of the postman.

I hope I may have been of some service in solving the problem my solution might not be everyone’s cup of tea but sometimes desperate measures are needed.
