This week is the 30th Anniversary of the end of the Irish Postal Strike of 1979

On the 27th of June in 1979 postal workers returned from a savage, twenty weeks long strike where attempts were made to break them and put the workers and their families under extreme hardship and pressure.

We have sourced a number of articles and photos from the days of the strike, some of which are very dramatic indeed and give a good sense of what it was like for the workers.
